ABOUT ME
"A blank piece of paper is God's way of telling us how hard it is to be God."
--Sidney Sheldon

Being
I learned about the power of stories when I was young. Late at night, I'd watch movies on a black and white TV, hoping not to wake my parents. One night, at 2 am, Mom barged into my room and caught me watching Hitchcock's "Dial M for Murder." For a moment, I thought I might never watch TV again. My Mom's anger dissipated after a quick second as she said, "Oh, this is a good movie!" She sat down, and we finished it together. A good story can save your butt.

Stories are everywhere. But it takes a good writer to see a story unfold where others see an ordinary event. The pieces come together from elsewhere, past-present-future becomes irrelevant; the story comes to life in the writer's imagination. Whether fiction or non-fiction, the process is the same.
Writing is about uncovering hidden details. It's about seeing what others miss and weaving those discoveries into something meaningful. Whether crafting a narrative or documenting real events, I approach each project curious, determined, and ready to explore where the story leads. Every book has a hidden path, and finding it, traveling it, is the fun part.
Doing
In the late 80s friends and I published a local magazine. We wrote articles about local businesses and events and eagerly traded advertising to restaurants. There I discovered how to write about businesses—tell the stories of the people my readers would meet. Writing about people and their livelihoods wasn't just about conveying information; it was about telling my audience about the experiences to come. Four years with the magazine began four decades and counting of promoting people, businesses, and technology.

Next, I worked in PR and advertising. I learned to tell short impactful stories about individuals, companies, and achievements.
Returning to entrepreneurship in the late 90's, I applied these valuable communication lessons to a pro audio store, entertainment memorabilia sales, and a commercial real estate PR service. Owning businesses demanded clear, persuasive, strategic communication with customers, partners and employees. These experiences sharpened my ability to express large concepts in straightforward and compelling ways.
Today, I help business owners, marketers, engineers, data scientists, politicians, and others write books and create compelling website content.

As a ghostwriter, my job is to carve out space for your story and voice to be heard. Clients grow comfortable with the writing process because each collaboration is tailored to their work style and comfort level. Whether I write from a blank page or build on notes, interviews, recordings, or partially written manuscripts, I serve as writer, editor, motivator, critic, and whatever is needed to create a book on which clients proudly put their names.
